Yin Yoga
YinQi is a 90-minute gentle practice that integrates the principles of Yin Yoga, Qi Cultivation, and Polyvagal Theory acupressure, and meditation. This practice is accessible to everyone and focuses on moving into stillness to quiet the mind, soothe the heart, and nourish the body and soul. Combining Yin Yoga, Qi Cultivation, Polyvagal Theory, acupressure, and meditation creates a holistic practice that harmonizes body, mind, and energy. Yvonne gently guides you through a series of poses to stimulate the tissues, ligaments, and fascia of the body. While maintaining the integrity of each pose, slow and intentional movement is incorporated to cultivate the body's energy and calm the nervous system. Insights of ancient wisdom traditions are woven in throughout the practice to bring the mind, heart, body, and soul into a peaceful state of being. Yin Yoga gently stretches deep tissues and opens meridians for Qi flow, while acupressure enhances energy balance by targeting specific points. Qi Cultivation, through breathing and movement, sustains this flow, supporting overall vitality. Polyvagal Theory guides the practice by promoting a state of calm and safety, helping to shift from stress to relaxation. Meditation ties everything together, grounding the mind and deepening the benefits of each element, fostering overall well-being and resilience.
Yindra is a 90-minute slow-paced practice which begins with a nourishing Yin Yoga practice targeting the deep connective tissues – fascia, ligaments, and tendons – rather than the muscles. As poses are held for longer durations, Yin Yoga aims to improve flexibility, enhance circulation, and stimulate energy flow. Yvonne encourages a meditative mindset and fosters deep relaxation culminating in Yoga Nidra.
Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra are both practices that emphasize relaxation and mindfulness, but they approach these goals in different ways. Combining them creates a powerful experience of deep physical and mental release and offers the possibility of insight into one’s heart and soul.
